About the thought behind the symbol
Sheep as a symbol of clothing making
Wool has been a popular material for clothing since ancient times, and is still a standard material for clothing today. We feel that it is the most appropriate image to evoke the image of clothing. Furthermore, sheep were considered special in Greek mythology, and the golden fleece, which was covered in gold, was considered a treasure that could be turned into a throne. It has also been used as a symbol of guaranteeing the highest quality by Brooks Brothers, known as the world's oldest men's clothing brand. For this reason, we have chosen a sheep as the symbol of Hakurei, which is particular about the value and quality of clothing, and shows gratitude and respect.
The secret hidden in the symbol
If you look closely, the sheep depicted as the symbol of Hakurei appears to be bowing, which represents "thank you" based on Japanese culture, which is also the concept of the brand. The decoration around the sheep's neck is modeled after the shimenawa and bells of shrines, and expresses the hope that customers will stop by with special feelings, just like at a shrine.

Two bows, two claps, one bow shows respect and gratitude to everyone I am about to meet, the people who make the clothes, the providers of the materials for tailoring, the materials themselves, and all those involved.
Finally, we at Hakurei will never forget our gratitude to you and to our clothes, and we will continue to create a store that is rooted in the local community. We hope that everything you find at Hakurei will become your talisman.
